Addie’s Big Step Forward at 16 Months

Patricia, lovingly called Addie by her family, is 16 months old and full of personality! She’s often the most charming presence in the room and is making steady progress at her own pace in therapy.

In this sweet moment, Addie is trying a candy cane for the first time with her OT. While she didn’t love the taste, her willingness to try it is a huge milestone! Addie had her G-tube placed at just one month old and struggled with a strong oral aversion for most of her first year. A year ago, offering her a taste of a candy cane would have seemed impossible — but look at her now!

We’re so proud of Addie’s progress and can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next! ❤️
