Dalia, Full Trisomy 18, Precious Angel

Daila (Full)

Daila was our miracle baby. We never knew she would arrive with any condition until the very moment she was born. At birth, doctors discovered she had three significant heart murmurs, hydrocephalus, and pulmonary hypertension, and they believed she wouldn’t survive more than a few weeks. Despite these predictions, Daila courageously spent three months in the NICU. At home, she was fed through a nasogastric tube and monitored closely for her heart rate and oxygen levels, needing oxygen support around the clock.

Daila found immense joy and comfort in her mother’s arms, loved playing with her sister, and displayed incredible strength and a powerful will to live. She was known for her joyful smiles and was eagerly awaited and profoundly loved by everyone. She adored when people talked to her, and throughout her hospital stays, the doctors always remarked on her extraordinary strength.

When Daila passed, she did so peacefully in her mother’s embrace—exactly where she loved to be most. Daila was truly her mother’s light and joy, a source of pure happiness who will forever be cherished.
