Maegan, Full Trisomy 18, Precious Angel

Maegan (Mosaic)

In loving memory of our extraordinary angel, Maegan Rhyann. Though diagnosed with Trisomy 18 at two months old, Maegan’s medical journey began even before birth, marked by numerous rare conditions. From a CPAM that required the removal of her left upper lung lobe at just two days old, to significant heart anomalies—including two VSDs, an ASD, and a wide-open PDA—Maegan faced each challenge with unmatched resilience. Bronchomalacia, multiple surgeries, and countless procedures filled her short but impactful four months with remarkable strength and bravery.

Adored by her medical team, who fondly called her “a tank with a bow,” Maegan charmed everyone with her vibrant personality, big bows, and perfectly coordinated outfits. She had an unmistakable way of capturing attention, often delighting in making her hospital machines beep just to draw smiles from those around her.

Maegan’s life, though brief, carried profound meaning and purpose. She taught us all to cherish the good days amidst struggles and inspired countless hearts. Her phrase, “It’s OK to be Extra… so God made a Maegan Rhyann,” perfectly encapsulates her legacy—she was beautifully unique, bringing others closer to faith, love, and hope.

Maegan was, and always will be, the precious miracle of our family. Our only little girl, surrounded by four loving older brothers, remains perfect in our hearts. We are endlessly grateful for every moment with our extraordinary angel and wish deeply that we could have held her forever. Her spirit continues to guide and inspire us each day.
