Doctors didn’t expect her to survive birth, and if she did, they predicted she would only live a year without awareness of the world around her. But Maria Elena had other plans. Today, she is not just surviving—she’s thriving! She loves playing with her siblings, can sit independently for a few minutes, and even cruises around confidently in her walker.

Watching her in action with her gait trainer is a true testament to her strength and determination. Maria Elena continues to break barriers and inspire everyone around her with her courage and joyful spirit.
